WYSE Travel Confederation announces development grant programme WYSE Up!

Oct 13, 2022

WYSE Travel Confederation, the only global not-for-profit membership organisation that represents the global youth travel industry, has announced a grant to support innovative organisations that are new to the industry.

The WYSE Up! grant aims to uncover innovative solutions to meet the changing needs of young travellers and help the industry face the future in an efficient and sustainable way.

Organisations can join the programme under one of four priority challenges: climate action, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), disruptor organisations and underrepresented markets.

Successful organisations will be provided with event funding, association membership, access to a wealth of resources, such as webinars, research publications and podcasts and a mentor from the WYSE Travel Confederation community.

David Chapman, Director General of WYSE Travel Confederation, said during the Annual General Meeting that, ‘the WYSE Up! grant will encourage startups and disruptors to take an active role in the youth travel community, helping to future-proof the industry.’

He added that the grant is only made possible by the support and donations of the industry at large and that the aim is to sponsor up to five organisations a year.
